Fall outfits via polyvore

Hi V.B.C. (VintageBohoClassic) readers) !! hopefully you guys are as excited about making the shift to fall fashion as I am! Denim, cashmere, leather. all that cool stuff. Don't forget scarves --> check out this link for Classic's post http://vintagebohoclassy.blogspot.com/2012/08/scarves-for-school.html. If you're not quite yet feeling that "back-to-school" excitement, check out these super cute fall outfits, via polyvore (not my account on any, i take no credibility, but i wish!!)

I love the gold themed accessories --> where can I get that bracelet?? The boots are super cute, paired with skinny jeans and a slouchy sweater. Perfect casual, but put together look.

I love the floral dress (the belt is really what completes it), and the pairing with the sweater. I also love the slightly casual feel it gives off, though being super cute.

The scarf is my favorite on this one. Burberry is my inspiration. The colored jeans really stand out, in a good way (they're really in right now!)

I love the patterned sweater with the necklace. Accessories = love. The red TOMS also make it really fun. And again, scarves are so in (Classic :)

I absolutely am in love with this color: a soft teal or a light mint green?
The ring (pattern) is adorable. May I also mention the boots? :)

The lavender color is so... perfect may be the right word? I love the zebra print bag as well, giving it a little pop. Maybe that could be my school bag? :)

Ombre Hair--To Love or not To Love

Ombre hair, another one of the cute, bohemian summer trends that will come and go, and no one will remember it 2 years from now.  Right?  Wrong.  The "Ombre Hair Trend" is, at least to me a cute, fun, subtle way to dye your hair without having to worry about it being too light or too orange, or just not looking good at all.  Now, I mentioned it was subtle, which it can be, but it can also be a big statement, depending on how light or dark you choose to go.

Ashley Tisdale decided that she would do Ombre a little subtler, starting with almost black roots, and moving down to a medium brown.  I think it looks absolutely stunning on her!

Lauren Conrad, however decided it was better to go big or go home.  She started with medium brown roots and worked her way down to a stunning platinum blonde.

This "Ombre Hair Trend" is a great way to add bohemian style to your hair without taking the time to do a multi-braided, faux bun, super cute updo that is so closely related to bohemian hair.  Love or not?  tell me in the comments below :)

One of my favorite ways to make an outfit 10 times better is to just add a scarf to it....which can come in handy if you're behind schedule in the mornings before school! There are so many different types and ways you can wear them, it can go with basically anything. Here are some ideas for wearing scarves I've picked out.... Enjoy :)

Primping Time?

I have a question for you all....

How long does it really take you to get ready in the mornings?

This is just a general question, relating to hair, clothes, makeup, ect.

I feel like for me personally, it's always this big ordeal, going through everything, spending a little too much time than I should.. Any tips, suggestions??

More posts coming soon! Don't forget to soak up summer! xx Vintage

Indie styles mixed with Vintage pastels.  What could be better?  Lately I'm seeing a lot of pastels, well, everywhere, and I think that although they have more of a vintage feel to them, they can definitely become a staple piece for a bohemian girl's wardrobe.  Here are a few examples I'm loving right now :)

J. Crew

Chambray Clambake Skirt (Seaport Blue)

These are just a few of the pastel staples I'm eyeing right now.  hope you guys love as much as I do!

DIY Coconut and Rose Body Scrub

Hi everyone! I promised you all a DIY ("do it yourself") a little while ago, and I love this particular one, via The Beauty Department. This is a really fun Spring/Summer time scrub, giving you a chance to pamper yourself, in a way that's totally unique. This jar of goodness consists of coconut oil, rose petals, raw cane sugar, and almond oil. All things sweet and lovely.

Here are a few directions on making your own (refer to The Beauty Department for further directions) ...

1.    Use a small mason jar or any clear jar with a lid.
2.   Start by putting a large scoop of coconut oil in the bottom of the jar.
3.   Next, pluck your rose petals and put them into the jar on top of the coconut oil.
4.  Add your raw sugar.
5.  Add your almond (or jojoba oil) on top of the sugar.
6.  Wait a minute for your oil to seep down to the flower petals and then top it off with a little more almond (or jojoba oil).

I haven't gotten around to making my own, but I can't wait!  xx Vintage

Spring Hair Accessories

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the belated posts, we've all been pretty busy lately: school, music, etc. So anyways, something that's been on my mind lately, as spring is really in the air (make sure you refer to Classic's post for helpful details), are hair accessories. I'm not just talking your average plastic headband, but pieces that really add a little something to your hair. They can also be really helpful when growing out your hair, to a certain length (draw attention away from those "awkward" spots). I attached some pics at the bottom for you all, to kind of get a sense of what I mean. you can tell that I'm liking the bows :) I particularly like the grey, wider bow used in the girl's ponytail; it adds just a little extra "flair", don't you think? hopefully this inspires you to get creative with your hair pieces, i guarantee you'll get some compliments :) I know Boho has some really cute Emi-Jay hairties, so you can check those out as well. I'm hoping over the next week or so to do some DIYs for you guys, prepping for summer!xx Vintage
